1. VEU Program Participation
Green Source participates in the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Program in accordance with regulations administered by the Essential Services Commission.
The VEU discount offered is conditional upon customer eligibility, product eligibility, installation site eligibility, successful completion of all required documentation, and approval under the VEU Program guidelines.
Green Source reserves the right to withdraw or amend any VEU offer if eligibility requirements are not met.
2. Customer Eligibility
The customer confirms that:
- They are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement;
- They are the legal owner or authorised occupier of the property;
- The property is located in Victoria;
- The property still has an existing gas heater and/or gas water heater installed and remains connected to the gas line at the time of assessment and installation where required under the VEU Program;
- The information provided is accurate and complete;
- No other VEU claim has been made for the same upgrade unless permitted under the program rules.
The customer agrees to provide any additional documentation reasonably required to verify eligibility.
VEU Compliance and Customer Consent
By accepting Green Source’s quotation, signing any proposal, electronically approving services, or permitting installation to proceed, the customer expressly acknowledges and consents that:
- They have voluntarily agreed to participate in the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Program;
- They understand the upgrade is being provided under the VEU Program and may involve the creation and assignment of Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs);
- They have received clear and accurate information regarding the products, services, incentives, discounts, and their obligations under the VEU Program;
- They consent to Green Source, its authorised representatives, installers, accredited providers, subcontractors, and compliance auditors contacting them by phone, SMS, email, or in person;
- They understand that compliance audits may be conducted by Green Source, its accredited partners, the Essential Services Commission, or other authorised third-party auditors;
- They agree to provide truthful and accurate responses during any audit or verification process;
- They consent to Green Source collecting, storing, and disclosing relevant personal and installation information required to satisfy VEU regulatory obligations;
- They consent to Green Source retaining their information for a period of (3) months, and understand that they may opt out of communications at any time.
- They acknowledge that providing false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in cancellation of the rebate, recovery of discounts applied, cancellation of installation services, or reporting to the relevant regulatory authority.
The customer further confirms that all consent provided is informed, voluntary, and given without pressure, coercion, or misleading representation.
3. Assignment of VEECs
By proceeding with the installation, the customer agrees to assign all rights and interests relating to Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) created from the upgrade to Green Source or its nominated agent.
4. Quotations and Pricing
All quotations are subject to site inspection where required, product availability, and VEU eligibility. Prices may change if additional works, site condition changes, or regulatory amendments occur.
5. Installation
Green Source will arrange installation by qualified and appropriately licensed technicians where required. Installation dates are estimates only and may change due to weather, product availability, or circumstances outside Green Source’s control.
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to provide safe access to the property, accurate information, and any required approvals from landlords or body corporates.
7. Payment Terms
Payment is due in accordance with the invoice terms provided by Green Source unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
Green Source reserves the right to charge reasonable costs incurred prior to cancellation, including administration, labour, and special-order materials.
9. Warranty
Products supplied may include manufacturer warranties. Workmanship warranties, where applicable, will be outlined in quotation or invoice documentation.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Green Source shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, delays, or damages outside its reasonable control.
11. Privacy
The customer consents to Green Source collecting and disclosing personal information required for installation, compliance, auditing, and regulatory obligations under applicable privacy laws.
12. Program Changes
The VEU Program may change without notice. Green Source is not responsible for changes to rebate values, eligibility requirements, or government regulations.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
